I am Ruth Hickman, a Master Stylist and Colorist, and have been in the beauty industry since 2000. The Beauty Bar SoBe was a wish list vision of mine for more than 2 decades, and it’s finally a reality. I specialize in hair cuts, corrective hair color, grey coverage and highlights, with a strong emphasis on healthy hair.

I offer a more intimate vibe with a Studio style -single chair salon-environment in a private space in my home in South Berwick, ME. This allows me to provide specialized one on one hair services to my clients. I strive to offer products and services, that deliver great results so that my clients can achieve a beautiful result without spending half their day in the salon.

I operate/manage the salon studio on my own (no staff) so please take a minute and fill out the contact form if you are interested in booking an appointment. I am always available to schedule new clients, however my current clients are typically rebooking there next few apts. to secure the day/time that works for them. The more flexible you can be initially, the more likely I will be able to find a spot for you to get into my schedule; it also offers me more flexibility when rebooking your future apts.

CUTTING

$60 short length (above shoulder)
$65 medium length (to the shoulder)

The perfect hair cut for YOU is something that makes every day just a little easier.

I specialize in wet and dry cutting techniques on straight, wavy and curly hair. Whether you like a fresh blunt cut, or a more natural (rounded) weight line with layers and texture; every haircut is customized to enhance your most flattering features.

*Blowout styling is included with cutting services.

SPECIALTY HIGHLIGHTING

Face Framing $95+

Partial Foils $120+

Full Foils $165+

Add a 2nd color for $25+ (lowlights/dimensional highlights)

I specialize in hair color techniques that look natural and effortless. Blending in some greys, adding some natural dimension to buy you time between salon appointments, or going bold with some bright pop's of color. Your options are almost endless with a variety of color and highlighting techniques that are custom fit for every client's needs.

* Cutting, Toner/Glazes, Restorative Treatments & Styling are an additional charge.

STYLING

$45 short-medium length (up to shoulder)

$55+ long length (past the shoulder)

Formal Styling $95+ (consultation recommended)

GREY COVERAGE & SINGLE PROCESS COLOR

Root Touch up $75
Root to end color $85+

Tired of those greys but you don't have all day... or maybe you just want to richen the hair you have with a demi permanent (deposit only color)... Who doesn't love shiny locks? There are a variety of customized options that will fit your lifestyle and maintenance level.

Many clients combine a root touch up with foil highlights to add dimension, look more natural and soften the line of new growth.

RESTORATIVE TREATMENTS

Healthy hair makes all the difference. If you are feeling dry, brittle, dull or just need to bring some shine back on your tired ends... I offer a variety of treatments that will leave your locks fresh and revived.

Cancellation Policy

Sometimes life gets in the way, and you need to cancel or reschedule your apt. I kindly ask that you provide me with a minimum of 72 hours (3 days) notice; however as soon as you are aware of a conflict, the more accommodating I can be in the rescheduling process. I make a respectful commitment of my time when we book your apt. and assume that your time is valuable to you; I simply ask that my clients extend the same respectful commitment regarding my time.

No shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the apt. will be charged 100% of the missed apt. service price. Cancellations that are within 72 hrs. of the apt. may also be subject to a charge of 100% of the missed apt. price.
